Children's Well-Being Foundation

Student Interns

Children's Well-Being Foundation has student intern opportunities for medical, nursing, public health, education, and other disciplines. There are opportunities for high school interns as well. Interns learn first hand about medicine and public health in Costa Rica.

Students can improve the health and lives of many children by working alongside our staff at our three locations. Children's Well-Being encourages interns to choose an area they would like to focus on during their time with us. There is flexibility in length of the internship, and we accept students at the clinics year round. We have had students from colleges and universities all over the United States.

Why choose to volunteer with Children's Well-Being Foundation?
As each school has different requirements, we can work with you and your school directly to tailor a program that works best for you.  Many larger clinics will not accommodate this customization based on the student's interest.

Schools who have participated in the CWB Internship Program:

Intern testimonial:

Thank you very much for taking us into account and allowing us to form part of this beautiful experience. Without a doubt, this experience has taught us many important things, especially for our career. In my case, it’s been an experience to remember for the rest of my life. It’s showed me a world I didn’t know much about. I am grateful for you and for the foundation for opening doors for us and trusting in us.
