The Children’s Well-Being Foundation is determined to expand its services and increase the number of undeserved children it treats in Costa Rica. Our services are desperately needed across the country, especially within rural areas where people don't have access to urban clinics.
With this goal in mind, we have committed ourselves to launching the CWB fully operational Mobile Clinic in April 2016.
The CWB Mobile Clinic will be equipped for medical visits and will expand our reach to several other large precarios where there are large populations of underserved and it is too expensive to safely manage permanent clinics.
The CWB Mobile Clinic will be able to reach rural areas and provide care to thousands of children who otherwise would have fallen through the cracks of their healthcare system. We will be providing primary care services, eye exams, and psychological services.
Once we begin offering services in the CWB Mobile Clinic, we'll double the number of children we are able to treat - 15,000 in the first year.
We have already raised over $50,000 to outfit and add graphic designs to the mini-van, start-up and operate the Mobile Clinic for the first six months. We estimate we need about $1,500 per week to be fully operational and serve the most possible number of undeserved children and their families. Any amount will help us operate for the first full year with the new Mobile Clinic. Thank you!!!
